Did you know?

Standard Albanian has 7 vowels and 29 consonants. The closest word to English would most likely be the word for 'three' which is 'tre'. So with more letters, and not much likeness, Albanian may be one of the tougher European languages to learn for native English speakers!

Traditional Music: Albania has produced quite a lot of nice classical music, as you may listen to below. The more tradition Shqip fold music however may not be so appealing to western ears. Give it a try though and let yourself get lost in the atmosphere of Albanian folk music!
