has a 5* rating and although not the best for travellers to Ethiopia it is very good for getting used to the sound of the language and learning key/essential phrases. The text is also suitable for those with not-so-great eyesight, since Ethiopian scripts can be hard to distinguish otherwise. This book is especially designed and effective for parents adopting an Ethiopian child.
is the best deal out there on MP3/Audio CD. A step-by-step approach to writing and speaking skills. As this is a CD only though, ideally it is meant to go along with the Colloquial Amharic book. Please see our Amharic Book section for that.
